It’s time we get acquainted with each other and learn what is the purpose of this project and how it is designed to help you.

Hello and Welcome to Elth. This is the first of many to come articles on why we need to start paying more attention to our health, how to do it and what we need to know about the food we take and various parts of our body and their functioning.

Before diving straight into the mission of this project let me introduce myself, the man behind the scenes.

My name is Rahul Chowdhury and I am a fitness enthusiast or if you would rather call a fitness freak.

I am currently put up in the lovely city of Bangalore in India, working for a startup as an Android Engineer.

Being involved in the corporate world I am aware that most people out here are not at all concerned about their health and love to enjoy their sedentary lifestyle.

I am pretty sure that this extends out to other areas of work as well which does or doesn’t involve much of physical activities.

In a world where machines do most of the heavy lifting for us, we desire to just sit back and tame them to act at our will while we enjoy sipping that warm coffee or some chilled soda.

I hold a somewhat different standpoint regarding this. I believe that this sedentary lifestyle is harmful to our health and will result in greater damages if not nipped off in the bud.

This is mainly due to the fact that I have witnessed the downfalls of having this lifestyle and neither do I want to put my body through all the torture again nor do I encourage other people to do the same.

That’s why I guess I can easily be an annoying person to someone if I spot that person living this non-active and non-healthy lifestyle as I will start bothering him/her with reasons and tips to live healthily.

Nevertheless, for those who want to turn their life around, move their asses around and start living healthy, this project is dedicated to them. The mission of this project is to improve your knowledge in these three key areas:

  1. Why do we need to pay more attention to our health?
  2. How do we do it while keeping pace with our day jobs?
  3. What do we need to know about our body and nutrition?

In this blog, you can find up to two new articles every week focusing on one of the three fundamentals mentioned above to educate you more in that prospect.

With that comes a weekly newsletter which features not only articles that are published in this blog but relevant and useful articles published by other related blogs as well because the mission is to promote healthy living.

With that in mind, I hope that this project will prove to be useful for you and will help you lead a better and healthier life and allow you to make wiser choices when it boils down to your health.

Take care of your body because it’s the only place you have to live.
